Graphic 45~Tropical Travelogue~2 Paradise Birds Layout

I created this layout using the G45 Tropical Travelogue, which I think is my favorite of all that G45 collections.  I can’t wait to go to Sydney, so I can have some more photos for this line.  This is a layout I created with a photo of Gabby from our trip to Turks & Caicos last year.  I love, love, love these “Paradise Birds” I have created.

IMG_3786

I used Petaloo flower’s, recollection bling, burlap and prima ribbon.  The bird’s wings are with Tim’s ideaology metals.  Can you see the other bird peeking out from behind the mat?   Really love this layout.  Here is a closer look at my birds:

I painted the wings with Jenni Bowlin #8 soap powder and sprayed it after with Perfect Pearls Mist forever blue and turquoise and add stickles.  Have a great weekend.  Hugz, Z

Graphic 45 and My Paradise Birds~Try It On Tuesdays

This week on Try It On Tuesday challenge is anything goes as long as you use acetate.  Here is my recycle G45 door plate packaging.

IMG_3780

It is hard to see the acetate because I used it in several places.  I have it over the small postage I want to add sand and make it a shaker box, put I couldn’t find my sand...lol   I also, used seam binding to create the faux coconuts.   So, here are some extra photos to show you what I have done.

Oh, how CUTE is my paradise bird!  I love her.

IMG_3769IMG_3773

So, I cut off the plastic but left the edges on because I didn’t want it to rip and show the white on the tag, plus I used the plastic to raise up the palm tree.

IMG_3771IMG_3772

So, you can see how when after spraying the tag with perfect pearls and using the heat gun it raise the plastic a bit.  It was perfect for the palm tree and to raise the paradise bird.  I also, used the small acetate that I cut off the door plate to put over the small postage stamp.  (I hate to tell you but, YES, I am a messy scrappy when I create!).  Thank goodness you can’t see the whole table…teehee.

So, here is a closer look at the tag.  Thanks for stopping bye.

Graphic 45~ABC Primer

I was at a crop over the weekend and have had this paper for awhile now.  Of course, this is Gabby when she was 3 years old.

IMG_3756

I punched the flowers from the paper using her initials “GAC” and the faux typewriter letter for the center.  I love to fussy cut and cut the little kids out.  The scissors I got at my favorite shop “Summer House” in Pt. Pleasant, as well as the scrabble letters, ribbon and flash card.  I picked the 3 because she was only 3 years old here.  I love making the banner in the upper right hand corner with the name of the paper line to remember which I used.

Isn’t she so cute!  Have a great week.  Hugz, Z

Try It On Tuesday Challenge~Tag Week

On Try It on Tuesday it is all about Hearts and Flowers on a tag.  Here is mine I created using an embossing file on Tim’s tag.  I painted it white with a dabber, then put Tim’s Festive Berries distress ink on the embossing folder, added the embossed postage, flowers, twine, charm, ribbon and jolee dove along with a piece of vintage lace:

My New Toy…Great For Your SMASH Journals

IMG_3631

I got this from Amazon.  It is so cool, the photo’s are little 2 x 3 stickers.  You can see the picture I took of Holly.  I can’t wait to use this for my trips, mini albums and crops.  Just love it.  Have an awesome week.  Hugz, Z

My Magnolia Stamp

This is my first Magnolia stamp, I couldn’t resist it now that Gabby is down under.  This is for two challenges, Try It on Tuesday and Magnolia down under challenges one word sentiments.

Here you can see where I stamped the image 3 times to give it more dimension.  I colored this with water color paints added stickles and glossy accents.    The paper line is old EK  success Letter Press Aurora Flora papers.  As you know Gabby is in Sydney and I’m sending this to her inside I wrote:   “Koala~fied” to be huggable… corny I know..lol

Have a great week.  Hugz, Z
