Love these doll faces that Lisa hand paints.  Ok, on to the party!  We started the party creating our own witches hats:

IMG_1074 We started with these hats and Lisa was soooo generous with her stash.  While we were creating our hats Lisa showed us how to do various flowers.

And this is her wonderful husband who was a good sport and helped us threw the night.

IMG_1095 IMG_1068 I would love to share with you the wonderful Adam’s Family dinner we had but my battery in my camera had die by now… I’m sure you’re glad it did…lol  sorry this is so long!  But, I had such a great time and I’ll leave you with the goodie bags Lisa and Diana where so generous to give us.

IMG_1047 Pink pumpkins, how cool where they!  We  made our way through historic Lafayette listing to tales of an eerie past, walking with our hats and lanterns to the home of David Messineo, Publisher/Executive Editor of Sensations Magazine and The Six Centuries Club, who recently received a 2009 New Jersey State Jefferson Award for Public Service.  He finish the night with tales of a dark history filled with stories of Salem and several poems written by David.

I’m leaving for London tomorrow so, I wish youIMG_1100 and a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  Thank you Lisa for a spook~tacular day!  Hugz, Z

Graphic 45~Hallowe’en in Wonderland

Just wanted to share with you a blog I found, Laura from The Vintage Key who created this adorable top hat.  How great would this be on a table as a favor with everyone name on it.  Here is my version of  her top hat.

IMG_1030  IMG_1028 I love the little bat stick pin which I added crystals.  I made a crepe paper rose, the paper flower is using Tim’s tattered rose die.

I made this for someone special.   I didn’t get to finished the inside so, I hope she loves it.IMG_1031 I have one more post before I leave I hope to have it posted by this week before I go.  Lisa Kettell’s  from Piddlestixs,“Witch Tea Party”  so, much fun!  Hugz, Z

Let’s Get Shabby~Challenge #16

This month’s Let’s Get Shabby Challenge is a two part challenge, the first is to decide between two kitchens.  I choose Kitchen number one.

challenge 16This was a hard challenge for me as my colors are very bold.  My kitchen is egg yolk yellow, black and white.  You see the small trivet in my layout ~the chef eating the spaghetti?  That is where  I got my inspiration for my kitchen.  The black and white tile in the back ground is fake.  lol  I painfully, took a level and painter’s tape and mapped it out and just painted it.  Everyone one who sees it thinks it’s real tile.

IMG_1018 Part two of the challenge was to add one piece of fabric, two die cut shapes and three colours from your chosen kitchen that will need to be your dominant colours.  I’ve chosen white, yellow and teal.  My fabric reminds me of a vintage table runner and I added the ruffle because it reminds me of the old aprons the ladies wore in the kitchen.  My two die cuts is the chocolate cupcake which is my favorite dessert and the wooden spoon I used to add my title.

The little girl I bought at a craft show many years ago, I keep it on my ledge to remind me of Gabby and it makes me smile every time I see it.  Also, love my egg people!  Here’s a close up of them.

IMG_1017 IMG_1016

Aren’t they cute!  I always wanted to add to this collection but have never seen anymore like them?  I also, choose the black and white because in my previous house I had a cow kitchen, which now is paired down to just my mudroom area.

Thanks, for joining me in my kitchen.  Celebrating my birthday Sunday!  :o)  I’ll leave for London next week to visit Gabby so, I hope to be able to post one more time before I leave.  Have a great weekend.  Hugz, Z
