Summerhouse in Pt. Pleasant, NJ

IMG_0089

Hi, Geralyn and I went to our favorite place in the next town over.  I wish I could take pictures of the windows with out the glare from the other side of the street?  Is there a trick to doing that?  lol  You can’t appreciate how cute her window is with the dress form and all the parasols.

Look at these paint by number acrylic paintings, just love the birds.

As you walk in the store you see this:

My New PowerShot SX200IS

Hi, just wanted to show you what I have been up to this weekend.  I purchased a new camera, a Cannon and it has this great feature that lets you shoot in black/white with an accent color.   I sewed these shirts for Gabby and look what I did:

Here is a close up of the beads I hand sewn all over the shirt.  It took me 3 hours to do.  lol  What we do for our kids! ;o)

This is the original color of the shirt and here is what I did with my camera:

Here is another shirt I did.

You can’t really notice but it has small dots of glitter all over it.

OH DEAR, OH DEAR ..I SHALL BE LATE!

I hope I made it in time for the Let’s Get Shabby Challenge, but I fear I’m late… 15 mins!

 IMG_0056

This is a door hanger I created for this challenge!  I hand cut all the elements to this piece.  I made the daffodils, lily of the valley, pink roses, the dandelions (yes, this garden has weeds)  lol, white daisies, iris and the crocus.  I was inspired by the crocus in my yard.

Love my Annalee Leprechaun’s! Here is another book I made for Gabby today. I’m late… where did the time go this month! yikes! IMG_0011

Here is the front cover using My Little Yellow Bicycle line. Check out those flowers! I saw it on Lisa’s blog What a Beautiful Mess. Just love it. Be sure to check her out she is amazing!IMG_0019

Here is a closer look. I used prima flowers and added the micro beads on the edges.

IMG_0014

Here I took the 4-leaf clover doily and glimmer mist the left side of the page. You can’t really appreciate it. It has gold flecks and the right side is sprayed with garden fairy green, it has such a settle light green mist.

Graphic 45 and Inspiration from Polly

Hi, this is a class I did this past weekend totally inspired my Polly from Artful Wings.  In one of the Let’s Get Shabby challenge’s Polly create a card with this cute bathing suit.  I just loved it and had to make one for myself.  Then, I took it one step further and created a mini album.  Most of ladies in my class were to shy for the full butt cheeks showing…lol  so they opted to cover the  bottom.

IMG_4715 IMG_4716

This is the front and back cover.  Out of 11 ladies in my class only 2 did not go for the full coverage.  lol

IMG_4571 IMG_4710

I made the inside using a vintage black one piece bathing suit and each page  is  6 x 5.  Created a pocket to slide the ATC card’s.  The next photo I made a pop up lighthouse using the Exclusive Quickutz Die the I designed for Scrappers Cove where I teach.  These are pictures at the Asbury Park beach in 1965 and yes, that is me in the black bathing suit and my sister.

Close up of the Sandy Hook Lighthouse, this is the nation’s oldest still standing and operating navigational aid.  Since the lighthouse was located in NJ but owned by NY the two states argued over control.  The US government put an end to the conflict in 1790 by making the Sandy Hook station and other lighthouse’s a federal responsibility.

Yes, this is me posing. lol  The right side flips open.

IMG_4713

Isn’t the Jolee’s crab so cute!  Here I made a pocket to hold the bingo cards.

Thanks, Polly for the great inspiration!  Be sure to visit her at Artful Wings for more of her amazing work.  Have a great week.  Hugz, Z
