We had our Chris Kringle, where everyone brings a gift, of course everyone was fighting over this clever money shirt Karen made.

12 Tags of Christmas~Tim Holtz

tim's tag

Well, it is the 3rd day of Tim’s 12 Tags of Christmas. Since I have missed tag one and two, I have decided to combine tag 1,2,3 together.  Here is my take on his tags:

IMG_2440

I used the snowflakes and snow (using a q-tip) from day 1. and day two the pine cone (hard to tell but the upper right corner is stamped with a pine cone) and stamped the Merry Christmas.  Today’s is very similar to Tim’s with a twist.  Instead of stamping the tree I took Tim’s tree:

I used Tim’s tree for the branch and snipped off a piece.  I cut the tape  in half to make the smaller flower.  Just love, love, love this technique.  I also, took his ribbon and glimmer mist it and made a leaf shape for my flower.  Hope you get a chance to do some for yourself.  Have a great weekend.  Hugz, Z

Happy Thanksgiving~Traditions

Hope you all are having a wonderful Thanksgiving for those of you who are in the US.  Gabby is in London and homesick as she is in class all day today.  Sad smile So, I decided to make her these rings:

IMG_2428IMG_2430

We use to make these instead of an advent calendar and we would wrap them around our stair case.  She loved pulling them off each morning before school and see it shrink until it was Christmas.

So, I’ve made these for her to pull off while she counts down the days to come home.  I wrote something on each ring for her to read each day.  It’s nice to bring back early traditions that make us happy.  Her and the puppy will be flying home the same day.  So, we can’t wait!  So, thankful for family and friends.  Thank you all so much who visit and leave such love.  Enjoy Black Friday and the rest of the week.  Hugz, Z
