MISCHIEF NIGHT! ~~~in Manasquan, NJ

I understand in some parts of the country you guys (you can tell I'm from Jersey~we always say "you guys") don't have "Mischief Night"? Oh, what fun you have been missing! Just before Halloween we always have "Mischief Night" this is where the kids are allowed to use toilet paper and throw it as hard and as high as you can to reach the top of the trees, porch, bushes and anything else that is standing. lol

They also, take soap and write on the car windows! Always great when it rains the next day and washes it all away!. ;o) But, not this year. This street in Manasquan is Parker Ave. and the whole street let the kids come and make a mess to spare the rest of us in the town. LOL

This is the close up.

And here is another view! Can you just imagine what this street was last night in the dark with all those kids running around! Oh, what mischief magic!

Thanks for stopping bye!

Longwood Gardens in PA

I went to Longwood Gardens in PA with my girlfriends and just wanted to share some of the photos I have put in my Pumpkin Album. I taught this class at Scrapper's Cove by request from my good friend Pat T. She waited over a year for me to create this mini album and just wanted to say THANKS! for being so patience! LOL They had pumpkin carving every Saturday. I just love this pumpkin! Doesn't he make you happy.

I don't know why this turn out sideways? But, just bear with me and tilt your head to the right and it looks perfect! ;o)

Ahww, that's better. This was another pumpkin carved like a daisy. This is my girlfriend, Debbie and I.

Here are some of the pumpkins they have arrange. So, pretty.

I know, I have to finish putting pictures here.

This is me, June and Debbie standing at the huge Cornucopia and another carved pumpkin, the cute car.

Cauldron Mini Pocketbook Album

Hi, just wanted to share with you my mini album I created for this Halloween. I love making these little pocketbook albums. This is the front cover which I later add on some plastic skeleton hands that I found at the dollar store.

Here are the first and second pages. I printed the witch from my computer and made it into a pocket to hold the bingo cards.

Just love these little frankenstein's. The witch I cut out from my cricut.

Closer look.

Love the pop up bat! I got that off the Paper Source Blog.

So, then I also popped out the ghost.

Here I paper pieced a little witch. I got Lisa's permission to use her witch. Just wanted to say thanks to her and be sure to visit her blog:
I change the rake to a better witch's broom. lol Just don't have time to take the updated pics. I used Tim Holtz skeleton. Check out his blog for some great Halloween tags.

Thanks for stopping bye!

Autumn Doors of Welcome

WELCOME! to my door of autumn. I love decorating for Halloween.
I had to post mine a little early as I will be away for Parents Weekend in Boston visiting Gabby. Can't wait to see her!

Here is a closer look at the top of the door.
I have glittered and painted my pumpkins and Franky is holding up my mailbox. Love the black garland and I have little orange lights around the doorway.

Come on in Zelda is waiting for you.

Isn't this ghost the cutest!

I know there are a lot of places to go today, so..... have a treat and a drink while I show you the rest of the place.

This is my chandelier that I add all my glamorous gals hang from:

This one I think is my favorite. She looks so happy and carefree riding her broom stick.

Love how they are full of glitter! (sorry, Jodie but Halloween is the time for TONS of glitter). lol

They just make me happy.

So, I hope you enjoyed a look around.

I know you have lots of places to visit, so I hope this wasn't too long.

What's a "ghoul" gotta do, but keep on partying! I'm off to visit you now.
Thanks for stopping bye!
Oh, where are my manners! I want to thank Karen from Some Days are Diamonds. THANKS! for letting me join the party! ;o)

Let's Get Shabby Challenge #4

This is the new challenge at Let's Get Shabby #4 Julie has created this sketch for the challenge and the requirement is to use this sketch and a vintage photo or embellishment. This is my take on the challenge. About 12 years ago I made doll clothes for the American Girl Dolls 18". The lace I used was from my stash that I collect to add to the doll clothes. I tea dyed the lace in the corner and added the cameo button. The paper is basic grey Stella Ruby. The picture I scanned from a photo I have hanging in my room.

If you look close the pattern paper is a fake! LOL I couldn't bare to use the original from the sewing pattern so, I made my own. I cut a piece from the plastic bags you get at the grocery store and traced the pattern piece on it. Same for the little bow on the bottom right corner of the picture and you have to look close to see the old fashion sewing machine charm. I did take a piece of the original paper and gather it together to put behind the flower. I made the flower from a ruffled lace and added the old fashion snap made in England for the center.

Here is a closer look and you can see I also, took wire ribbon folded it in half pulled the wire to create the leaves. Place the lace collar behind the fake pattern piece added the zipper, straight pin and prima flower.
Thanks for looking.
