Vintage Post Card Show~Ocean Grove

This is Geralyn we went to Ocean Grove for lunch and antique shopping. We found out that there was going to be a Vintage Post Card Flea Market later in the week. She had to work so, I did manage to go.

This is some of the architecture in Ocean Grove. I wish Geralyn was telling you about Ocean Grove she knows alot more. I have only been there a few times.

These are "Tent" houses which are well know in Ocean Grove.

Now is when I wish I knew how to put those fancy frames around your pictures and add wings! So my little angel will be soaring to new heights, as she leaves Sunday to go to BU.

This is the autorium built in 1889, also I graduated in this building.

Love this pink porch with the heart shapes. One of my favorite shapes.

This is one of the stores on the main street.

I was soooo happy to find these in the .25 cents box! yippee!

I love the "Fairy Mermaid Girl"! I leave Wedensday for CE and then Boston. So, I will post when I return. Have a great week.

Lovin' those Zebra Stripes!

You know I love Zebra Stripes! I'm lovin' Anna Griffin's new animal print line. Here is what I have been working on this past weekend. It is my very own "Pocketbook Scrapbook" for Creative Escape. A girl can't have too many bags! lol I think I'm going to take the flower off and put a big "Z" all in pink glitter of course! Watch out Jodie I will be using "glitter"! lol

Here is a peek inside. I used alot of Heidi Swapp flowers (Oh no, did I just say flowers other than Prima!) lol
I glittered the butterfly and sewn all the mats.
This is my favorite page. Just love the zebra stripes against the green. I can see green walls and pink and zebra stripes in the near future.

This is my autograph book that I made to take with me.

Love all the ribbon and I cut some plastic left over from my sizzix packaging and used Heidi's mask and stamped with staz-on. Added the crown and bling.
Here I used the packaging again and ran it threw my Quickutz~embossing zebra die and inked.

Jodie I'm getting the smelling salt ready for you! ;o)

Here is the spot I have for Heidi to sign. I used the technique from "Swirlydoo's" tutorial for the flourish.
I will show them again with pictures when I get back. I'm happy to go, but sad to return. When I get back I will be taking Gabby to Boston to start college. The empty nest is already hitting me hard. :o(

Have a great week and hope to post one more time before I leave on Wed.
Thanks for stopping bye.

"LET'S GET SHABBY" CHALLENGE

I did this layout for the "Let's Get Shabby" Challenge
This was taken in 1965~only one of the few pictures I have of myself when I belong to the Girl Scouts Troop #487.
Here is a closer look at the details. I hand cut the Girl Scout Pin, ruffled the paper and used cat's eye to dye the doily. Lots of bling and be sure not to miss the cute little dragonfly on the yellow flower.
Enter to win a chance at their fabulous eye candy! Thanks for stopping by.

Geralyn at one of our favorite stores to visit: Melrose Vintage
Geralyn can't make it this year so, I will be going with my friend Debbie.
The best thing about dinner the last night is that they serve dessert first! So, yummy!
And this was me last year when I was lucky enough to win Quickutz Revolution! yippee! Can't wait to go again this year! I will post pictures when I get back the last weekend in Aug.

Thanks for stopping bye! Hugz, Z
