CONGRATS! Class of 2009!

Where did the time go? The days seemed so long sometimes but the YEARS flew by!

This is Gabrielle's Graduation out on Sandy Hook. We have been getting soooo much rain, but thankfully, it stopped and the sun came out for a little while. This is near the tent where the graduation was held. It was an enormous flag and I thought it looked so beautiful swaying in the air.

This is the lighthouse out on Sandy Hook. This is the oldest still standing and operating navigational aid. The house is an octagon figure with eight equal sides, diameter of the base is 29 feet and at the top of the wall 15 feet. The building from the bottom to the top is 103 feet. Since the lighthouse was located in New Jersey, but own by New York. The two states argued over control. The US government but an end to the conflict in 1790 by making the Sandy Hook Station and other lighthouses a federal responsibility.

Here is Gabby getting her diploma.

I was so happy I put my camera and sports mode and was able to captured the throwing of the caps!

CONGRATS! Gabby. We love you and wish you the best in all that life has to offer you. My favorite quote for you:

"Don't cry because it is over! ... SMILE because it happened!"

Dr. Seuss

It has been a great experience at M.A.S.T. We are so glad you got the opportunity to attend and we will surely miss it!

The Last Dance!

This is Gabby's Senior Prom, although they don't call it the Prom at her school. She goes to a school out on Sandy Hook which is called the Marine Academy of Science and Technology. They have a ROTC program which they participate in and the prom is called the "Naval Ball".

I used my June Swirldoo's kit which I was lucky enough to win on National Scrapbooking Day! This is the June challenge layout. I love cutting up the Prima flourishes which I added all around. I cut the leaves out from Prima's line "Flirty Little Secret". All the flowers are Prima's except the satin ones. Notice the fancy edge to the right of the photo~recognize it??? It is from Prima's butterfly packaging~ I just cut the strip at the bottom and there you have it a fancy decorated edge! Cool, huh? (couldn't let that fancy packaging go to waste!) lol

I will post some more pictures next week of the ROTC and graduation is tomorrow! These colors I received in my Prima Prize go perfect with her dress!

The antique bee pin I found in a store in Pt. Pleasant. I have to thank Miss Marlene over at "Q Bee C" aka Queen Bee of Creativity. She loves bees and I loved her golden bee she had on her hat when we first met at Geralyn's Tea Party and now I am on the look out for these tiny treasures. Thanks, Marlene!

Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!
